The biostatisticians review all GCRC protocols and will assist in protocol
preparation, if needed. Consultation with GCRC biostatistics and informatics is
encouraged prior to protocol submission if there is no existing support for
your project. GCRC Biostatistical and informatics support includes study design
consultation, sample size and power calculations, and generation of
randomization codes. Development of databases and statistical analysis of the
data and interpretation of the results is available on a limited basis for some
GCRC approved studies that have not already budgeted for these services.
The primary goal of the Biostatistics and Informatics core is to help
investigators collect and maintain accurate data that can be analyzed by the
GCRC biostatisticians.
