The GCRC is located in a newly remodeled 4500 square foot area on the ground
floor of the Delp Pavilion of KUMC. Investigators apply to the GCRC Advisory
Committee (GAC) for approval to use the GCRC space and resources for their
studies. The resources of the GCRC are available to all services and
departments. For GAC approved studies, the GCRC is able to provide the
following resources:
1. Five multi-purpose outpatient testing rooms
-

Industrial grade kitchen equipment will be available
6. Sample processing laboratory

7. Limited support is available to provide some routine laboratory tests
The above services are provided at no charge for investigator-designed and
initiated studies.
We anticipate that initially most GCRC studies will be outpatient based. Only
outpatients will be seen in the designated GCRC space. There will be a
mechanism to use the University of Kansas Hospital beds on a “scatter bed”
model for inpatient studies.
