Mission
The overall goal of the University of Kansas Clinical and Translational Science Unit is
to provide investigators with the optimal facilities and resources to conduct
clinical research, to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, to train health
care professionals in clinical research, and to advance the quality of patient
care.
Who Are We?
A CTSU is a multidisciplinary research unit which facilitates
investigator-initiated clinical studies. It provides a clinical research
infrastructure to investigators who receive funding from federal agencies,
private foundations, and other peer-reviewed sources. Also can include
investigator-initiated unfunded pilot studies that may lead to future NIH
support.
Resources
The CTSU is located in a newly remodeled 5000 square foot area on the ground
floor of the Delp Pavilion of KUMC. Investigators apply to the CTSU Advisory
Committee for approval to use the CTSU space and resources for their
studies. The resources of the CTSU are available to all services and
departments. For Committee approved studies, the CTSU is able to provide these
resources.
